  • Garlic, minced — 2 cloves
  • Italian seasoning — 1 tsp
  • Salt — 1/2 tsp
  • Black pepper — 1/2 tsp
  • Marinara sauce — 2 cups
  • Hoagie rolls — 4
  • Shredded mozzarella cheese — 1 1/2 cups
  • Olive oil — 2 tbsp
  • Optional: chopped parsley or extra Parmesan for topping

Instructions

  6. Slice hoagie rolls open and brush lightly with olive oil. Toast in the oven for 5 minutes.
  7. Spoon meatballs and sauce into each roll and top generously with mozzarella cheese.
  8. Return subs to the oven for 5–7 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Serve warm with optional toppings.

Notes

  • Toast rolls to add crunch.
  • Spice it up with red pepper flakes in the sauce.
