- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)
- Optional: marinara or ranch for dipping
Instructions
- Pat mozzarella cubes dry with paper towels and place in the freezer for 15 minutes to firm.
- Set up three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with a mix of breadcrumbs, parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, and oregano.
- Dip each mozzarella cube in flour, then egg, then breadcrumb mixture. For extra crunch, repeat the egg and breadcrumb step.
- Heat oil in a deep skillet or saucepan over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- Fry the cheese bites in batches for 1-2 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.
