  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • Glaze:
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 12 tbsp milk
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  2. In a large bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy. Add egg and vanilla; mix until smooth.
  3. Add dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until a soft dough forms.
  4. Divide dough in half. Roll each half into a rectangle about ¼-inch thick.
  5. Mix melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon for the filling. Spread evenly over each rectangle.
  6. Roll dough tightly into logs and chill for at least 1 hour.
  7. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  8. Slice chilled dough into ½-inch rounds and place 2 inches apart on baking sheets.
  9. Bake for 10–12 minutes, until edges are set and centers are soft.
  10. Whisk glaze ingredients and drizzle over cooled cookies.
