- 8 oz linguine pasta
- 2 chicken breasts, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tbsp garlic, minced
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp red chili flakes (optional)
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
- 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 4 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce (halal-certified)
- ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
- ½ cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Cook the linguine in salted water according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- While pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Season chicken with salt, pepper, and paprika. Sauté until golden and cooked through, about 6–8 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, melt butter. Add garlic, red chili flakes, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and chopped parsley. Stir and cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the cream and parmesan cheese. Stir until smooth and slightly thickened.
- Return chicken to the skillet, then add cooked linguine. Toss everything together until coated in the cowboy butter sauce.
- Serve hot with extra parsley or cheese on top if desired.
Notes
- Worcestershire sauce used is halal-certified.
- Adjust red chili flakes to taste for heat.
- For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for heavy cream.
- For more greens, fold in sautéed mushrooms or spinach.
