- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 tbsp melted butter
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a donut pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, spices, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, combine pumpkin puree, eggs, oil, milk, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir just until combined.
- Spoon or pipe batter into the donut pan, filling each cavity about ¾ full.
- Bake for 12–14 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let donuts cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
- Brush each donut with melted butter and roll in cinnamon sugar while still slightly warm.
Notes
- Do not overmix the batter; mix until just combined to keep donuts tender.
- Fill cavities about ¾ full to prevent overflow during baking.
- Let donuts cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring.
- Brush with melted butter while warm so the coating sticks.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container; reheat briefly before serving.
