  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 cup canned pumpkin puree
  • 2 eggs
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • For the cinnamon sugar coating:
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a donut pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, spices, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine pumpkin puree, eggs, oil, milk, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
  4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir just until combined.
  5. Spoon or pipe batter into the donut pan, filling each cavity about ¾ full.
  6. Bake for 12–14 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let donuts cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  8. Brush each donut with melted butter and roll in cinnamon sugar while still slightly warm.
