Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp plain yogurt
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro (optional)
  • 1 tbsp oil or melted butter (for cooking)
  • Extra melted butter + minced garlic for brushing

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  2. Add cottage cheese and yogurt. Mix until a soft dough forms (add a little water or flour if needed).
  3. Knead briefly until smooth, then divide into 4 equal portions.
  4. Roll each piece into an oval or round shape about 1/4 inch thick.
  5. Sprinkle minced garlic and cilantro over each naan and gently press in.
  6. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and brush with oil or butter.
  7. Cook each naan for 1-2 minutes per side until puffed and golden brown.
  8. Brush with extra melted butter and garlic before serving.

Notes

  • If the dough feels sticky, dust with a little flour or water to reach a soft, non-stick consistency.
  • Omit cilantro if desired; can substitute parsley.
