Ingredients
- 8 oz elbow macaroni
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1½ cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- ¼ tsp paprika
- ½ cup breadcrumbs
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
- Cook macaroni according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute.
- Slowly whisk in milk and cook until thickened, about 4–5 minutes.
- Reduce heat and stir in cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan until smooth and creamy.
- Season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Stir cooked macaroni into the cheese sauce until fully coated.
- Transfer to the prepared baking dish.
- In a small bowl, mix breadcrumbs, melted butter, and Parmesan. Sprinkle evenly over the top.
