- 5–6 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp paprika
- ½ tsp dried parsley
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: sliced green onions for topping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a skillet, cook ground beef with onion and garlic until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Season beef with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, parsley, salt, and pepper.
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the baking dish. Top with half of the beef mixture.
- Repeat layers with remaining potatoes and beef.
- Whisk cream of mushroom soup with beef broth and pour evenly over the casserole.
- Cover tightly with foil and bake 45 minutes.
- Remove foil, sprinkle cheese on top, and bake another 15–20 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Let rest 5 minutes before serving. Garnish if desired.
