  • 18 Hershey’s Kisses, unwrapped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg, milk, vanilla, vinegar, and red food coloring until smooth.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  5. Roll dough into 1-inch balls and coat each in granulated sugar.
  6. Place on the baking sheet about 2 inches apart and bake for 8–10 minutes, until set but still soft.
  7. Immediately press a Hershey’s Kiss into the center of each cookie. Allow cookies to cool completely before storing.

Notes
