Description

Homemade Potsticker Soup with Fresh Ingredients is a light yet comforting bowl featuring tender potstickers, crisp vegetables, and a fragrant garlic-ginger broth. Ready in under 30 minutes, it uses pantry staples—sesame oil, soy, rice vinegar—and comes together quickly for cozy weeknights. Use chicken or vegetable broth and halal-friendly dumplings, then customize greens. This nourishing soup delivers balanced flavor, aroma, and warmth in every comforting spoonful.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil or olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 4 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • 2 cups water
  • 1216 chicken or vegetable potstickers (halal-friendly)
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1 cup baby spinach or bok choy
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp rice vinegar
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • Optional: sliced green onions or sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat sesame oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add garlic and ginger and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  2. Pour in broth and water. Bring to a gentle boil.
  3. Add potstickers, mushrooms, and carrots. Simmer for 5–7 minutes, until dumplings are tender and heated through.
  4. Stir in soy sauce, rice vinegar, and black pepper.
  5. Add spinach or bok choy and cook for 1–2 minutes until wilted.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed. Serve hot with optional garnish.

Notes

  • You can use vegetable broth for a vegetarian version.
  • Choose halal-certified dumplings to keep the dish Halal-friendly.
  • Adjust salt by reducing soy sauce if needed due to sodium content.
  • Great make-ahead option: store cooked dumplings separately and add to hot broth when serving.
