- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 12 oz turkey sausage, sliced into rounds
- 3 cups broccoli florets
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- ¼ cup honey
- 3 tbsp gluten free soy sauce or tamari
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water
Instructions
- Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sliced turkey sausage and cook 3–4 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining olive oil and broccoli with bell pepper. Cook 4–5 minutes until tender-crisp. Remove and set aside with sausage.
- Add shrimp to the skillet and cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink and just cooked through.
- Stir in garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- In a small bowl, whisk together honey, gluten free soy sauce, lemon juice, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Pour into the skillet.
- Add the cornstarch mixture and simmer 1–2 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Return sausage and vegetables to the skillet and toss everything together until well coated and heated through.
- Serve immediately.

- Gluten-free recipe when using gluten-free soy sauce or tamari.
- Can be spiced up with extra pepper flakes or a dash of hot sauce.
