Description
Spiderweb Guacamole: A spooky, creamy dip that turns ordinary guacamole into a Halloween centerpiece with a sour cream spiderweb swirl.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 ripe avocados, peeled and pitted
- 1 small lime, juiced
- 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
- 1 small tomato, seeded and diced
- 1 tbsp chopped cilantro
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/4 cup sour cream (or vegan sour cream alternative)
- 1 small zip-top bag (for piping)
- Tortilla chips
- Optional: 1 black olive or small plastic spider for decoration
Instructions
- In a bowl, mash avocados with lime juice. Stir in onion, tomato, cilantro, salt, and pepper. Adjust seasoning to taste.
- Spoon guacamole into a shallow bowl or dish and smooth the top.
- Fill a small zip-top bag with sour cream and snip a tiny corner. Pipe a spiral over the guacamole.
- Using a toothpick or knife tip, drag lines from the center of the spiral outward to create a spiderweb design.
- Place a black olive “spider” (or plastic one for decoration only) on top.
- Serve immediately with tortilla chips and enjoy the spooky fun!
Notes
- Tip: To make it vegan-friendly, use a plant-based sour cream alternative.
- Make the spider by placing an olive at the center if you don’t have plastic spiders.
- Prepare just before serving to prevent browning of the avocado.
