- 300 g halal beef steak, cut into bite-sized tips
- 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 250 g rigatoni pasta
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp flour
- 1 ½ cups milk
- ½ cup heavy cream
- ¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ cup shredded mozzarella (optional, for extra creaminess)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook rigatoni pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- While pasta cooks, toss steak tips with Cajun seasoning.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear steak tips for 3–4 minutes until browned and cooked to desired doneness. Remove and keep warm.
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add butter. Sauté garlic for 30 seconds, then whisk in flour.
- Gradually pour in milk and cream, whisking until smooth. Simmer for 3–4 minutes until thickened.
- Stir in Parmesan and mozzarella (if using). Season with salt and pepper.
- Add cooked rigatoni and steak tips into the sauce, tossing to coat everything well.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
Notes
- Adjust Cajun seasoning to taste for more or less heat.
- Optional mozzarella adds extra creaminess; omit if desired.
- Gluten-free option: use gluten-free rigatoni.
