Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 refrigerated pie crust
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tsp mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a pie dish.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and onion and cook until beef is browned and onion is softened. Drain excess fat.
  3. Season beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Remove from heat.
  4. Press pie crust into the prepared dish.
  5. Spread beef mixture evenly over the crust.
  6. Sprinkle cheddar and mozzarella cheese on top.
  7. In a bowl, whisk eggs, milk, ketchup, and mustard until smooth.
  8. Pour mixture evenly over the pie filling.
  9. Bake for 35–40 minutes until set in the center and golden on top.
  10. Let rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • You can substitute with a store-bought crust or puff pastry if preferred.
  • For a lighter version, use lean ground beef and reduce cheese or swap in part-skim cheese.
  • Let the pie rest 5 minutes before slicing to help set the filling.
  • Leftovers refrigerate 3–4 days; reheat in oven or microwave.
  • Optional toppings: diced pickles, shredded lettuce, or tomatoes.
