- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup pizza sauce or marinara
- 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup cooked beef or turkey pepperoni, sliced
- ½ cup cooked beef sausage or ground beef
- ½ cup sliced bell peppers
- ½ cup sliced mushrooms
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- Optional: grated Parmesan for topping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a deep baking dish or oven-safe skillet.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté onion until soft, then add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
- Stir in pizza sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Add beef or turkey pepperoni, sausage or ground beef, bell peppers, and mushrooms. Stir to combine and remove from heat.
- Spread half of the cheese evenly over the bottom of the baking dish.
- Spoon the pizza filling over the cheese, then top with remaining cheese.
- Roll out pizza dough and place it over the filling, sealing the edges around the dish. Cut small slits in the top for steam.
- Bake for 45–50 minutes until crust is golden brown and filling is bubbly.
- Let rest for 10 minutes before serving. Sprinkle with Parmesan if desired.
