Description
Pizza Grilled Cheese: A gooey, golden mash-up of two comfort food favorites—perfectly cheesy, delightfully crispy, and packed with pizza flavor.

- 4 slices thick white or sourdough bread
- 1 tbsp softened butter
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ¼ cup pizza sauce, plus extra for dipping
- 12 slices turkey pepperoni (or halal beef pepperoni)
- ¼ tsp Italian seasoning
- Optional: sliced black olives, green peppers, or mushrooms
Instructions
- Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
- Place two slices, butter side down, in a skillet over medium heat.
- Spread a layer of pizza sauce on the inside of each slice.
- Add a layer of mozzarella cheese, followed by turkey pepperoni and any optional toppings. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning.
- Top with the remaining bread slices, butter side up.
- Grill until the bottom is golden and the cheese begins to melt, about 3–4 minutes.
- Flip and cook the other side until golden brown and cheese is fully melted, about 3 more minutes.
- Slice and serve hot with extra pizza sauce for dipping.
Notes
- You can use halal beef pepperoni to keep the dish Halal.
- Swap or add other toppings like olives, green peppers, or mushrooms to customize the flavor.
- Best enjoyed immediately while the cheese is melted and the bread is crispy.
