Description

Pizza Grilled Cheese: A gooey, golden mash-up of two comfort food favorites—perfectly cheesy, delightfully crispy, and packed with pizza flavor.


Ingredients

  • 4 slices thick white or sourdough bread
  • 1 tbsp softened butter
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ cup pizza sauce, plus extra for dipping
  • 12 slices turkey pepperoni (or halal beef pepperoni)
  • ¼ tsp Italian seasoning
  • Optional: sliced black olives, green peppers, or mushrooms

Instructions

  1. Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  2. Place two slices, butter side down, in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Spread a layer of pizza sauce on the inside of each slice.
  4. Add a layer of mozzarella cheese, followed by turkey pepperoni and any optional toppings. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning.
  5. Top with the remaining bread slices, butter side up.
  6. Grill until the bottom is golden and the cheese begins to melt, about 3–4 minutes.
  7. Flip and cook the other side until golden brown and cheese is fully melted, about 3 more minutes.
  8. Slice and serve hot with extra pizza sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • You can use halal beef pepperoni to keep the dish Halal.
  • Swap or add other toppings like olives, green peppers, or mushrooms to customize the flavor.
