Description

Sausage and Sweet Potatoes with Honey Garlic Sauce Recipe is a wholesome sheet pan dinner that roasts sweet potatoes until tender, browns sausage, and coats everything in a glossy honey garlic glaze.


Ingredients

  • 2 large sweet potatoes, peeled and diced into 1-inch cubes
  • 12 oz halal sausage (chicken or turkey sausage, sliced into rounds)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Honey Garlic Sauce:

  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp chili flakes (optional, for heat)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a sheet pan with parchment paper.
  2. Toss diced sweet potatoes with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread evenly on the sheet pan and roast for 15 minutes.
  3. Add sliced sausage to the pan, toss everything together, and roast for another 15 minutes until potatoes are tender and sausage is browned.
  4. Meanwhile, whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes.
  5. Drizzle the honey garlic sauce over the roasted sausage and sweet potatoes. Toss to coat evenly and roast for 5 more minutes.
  6. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.

  • For a spicier finish, increase the chili flakes or add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
  • Halal sausage chicken or turkey variety works best for a leaner option.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days.
