- 1 tsp mustard
- 1 tsp chili powder
- ½ tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 can (16 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough, cut into quarters
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Optional: sliced green onions for topping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a large skillet, cook ground beef, onion, garlic, and bell pepper until the beef is browned. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in tomato sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, chili powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer 5 minutes.
- Transfer the sloppy joe mixture into the baking dish.
- Sprinkle cheddar cheese on top.
- Arrange the biscuit dough pieces evenly over the casserole.
- Bake 20-25 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden and cooked through.
