Description

Soft Christmas Peppermints are melt-in-your-mouth treats that capture winter nostalgia with pastel, creamy texture and a gentle peppermint flavor. Made with cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla, and peppermint extract, these mints come together quickly and roll into festive ropes. They dry to a firmer bite if left overnight, or stay soft for immediate snacking. Perfect for gifting, cookie trays, and holiday gatherings. Tint with red or green for extra sparkle.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 3 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ½ tsp peppermint extract
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • Food coloring (red and green, optional)
  • Extra powdered sugar for rolling

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, beat softened cream cheese until smooth.
  2. Add peppermint extract, vanilla, and gradually mix in powdered sugar until a soft dough forms.
  3. Divide the dough into 2–3 portions. Tint each portion with a drop of food coloring if desired.
  4. Roll each portion into long ropes on a powdered-sugar-dusted surface.
  5. Cut into small peppermint pieces.
  6. Place on a tray and let dry at room temperature 24 hours for a firmer texture or enjoy soft immediately.
  7. Store in an airtight container.
