  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Sear the short ribs on all sides until browned, 2–3 minutes per side.
  3. Place the onions and garlic in the bottom of the crockpot.
  4. Arrange the browned ribs on top.
  5. In a bowl, whisk together beef broth, tomato sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, paprika, thyme, pepper, and salt.
  6. Pour the sauce mixture over the ribs.
  7. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4–5 hours, until the ribs are tender and falling off the bone.
  8. Skim excess fat if needed, garnish with parsley, and serve warm over mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles.
