Ingredients

  • 2 pounds beef, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup grape juice
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 green onions, chopped (optional garnish)
  • Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix grape juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and brown the beef pieces.
  3. Transfer the beef to a slow cooker and pour the sauce mixture over it.
  4. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until the beef is tender.
  5. Stir in cornstarch mixed with a little water to thicken the sauce, cooking for an additional 30 minutes.
